In addition to the $100,800 grant for improvements at Father Marinaro Park, the following entities received a total of more than $1 million of the $70 million in grant funds released statewide by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources:

n Adams Township received $250,000 for a spray park, pedestrian walkways and marking, plus a filtration and recirculation system, utilities, fencing, ADA access, landscaping, signage and other site improvements at Adams Township Community Park.

n Allegheny Land Trust received $313,000 for the acquisition of 53 acres in Middlesex Township for open space and passive recreation, and the protection of about 119 acres in Middlesex and Clinton townships as a conservation easement.

n Butler County received $190,000 for the construction of comfort stations, ADA access, landscaping, signage and other related improvements at Alameda Park.

n Cranberry Township received $47,500 to update the comprehensive park plan.

n Middlesex Township received $204,500 for a pedestrian walkway, play equipment, safety surfacing, ADA access, landscaping, signage and other improvements at Middlesex Township Community Park.
