Victor G. Timko

Victor G. Timko, 84, of Buffalo Township, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

He was born Nov. 13, 1937, in Arnold, and was the son of the late Victor S. and Helen Elaine Cani Timko. He had been a resident of Buffalo Township for the last 57 years, having previously resided in Freeport and Arnold.

Mr. Timko worked as a mechanical assembler for Applied Test Systems in Butler, for 29 years before he retired.

He was a member of Emory Methodist Chapel in Sarver, and was a member of Bethel Lodge 789 F&AM.

He enjoyed fishing, especially in Canada and Lake Erie, going to his camp in Tionesta, boating, hunting, reading, snowmobiling and was an avid Steelers fan.

He was very mechanically inclined, always able to fix anything, and just last year, built a merry-go-round with his son for his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret Ann Shockley Timko; three children, Kurt (Amber) Timko of Sarver, Linda Timko of Parker, Colo., and Aaron (Jody) Timko of Cabot; five grandchildren, Greg (Carolyn) Timko, Jacob (Serena) Timko, Jeremy (Ashlee) Timko, Jamie Timko and Andrew Timko; seven great-grandchildren, Ava, Riley, Chloe, Blake, Kierra, Kaynan and Layne Timko; a sister, Karen (Lee) Smith of Industry; and a brother, Allen Timko of Brackenridge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Marts.

TIMKO — Friends of Victor G. Timko, who died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Mary Jo Gould officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
