Judy A. Codispot

Judy A. Codispot

Judy A. Barto Codispot, 73, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

Judy was born March 11, 1948, in Butler. She was the daughter of the late John and Janet Elder Barto of Butler.

Judy, or “Nan,” was loved by all those who knew her. In her younger years, she was a second mom to her children's friends, remaining close to them even as adults.

She loved her grandchildren, Chelsea, Ashlie, Michael, Bree, Taylor, Jack, David, John, Luke, Anna, Sophie and Skylar. Even more, she adored her great-grandchildren, Micah, Greyson, Heston, Harlee and Mason — “the babies,” as Judy called them.

She enjoyed spending her time at camp at the river, and cooking large meals for her family and their friends. Those who knew her best know her true joy was yelling at her husband “Little Mike,” to whom she was married for 57 years.

Judy is survived by her husband, Michael A. Codispot; her three children, James Codispot and his wife, Julie, Kimmy Frazier and her husband, Charlie, and Kelly Michalek and her husband, Dan; as well as a brother, John Barto, and his wife, Shelia, of Arizona.

CODISPOT — Private funeral arrangements for Judy A. Barto Codispot, who died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, are under the direction of Hile Funeral Home of Chicora.

Contributions in Judy's memory can be made to Amedisys Hospice Care, 240 Pullman Square, Suite 255, Butler, PA 16001, as Judy's family sincerely thanks the staff for providing wonderful care and helping Judy remain comfortable during her final days.
