Esther H. Sassone

Esther H. Sassone, 89, of Butler, passed away on Nov. 25, 2021, at the Newhaven Court at Clearview.

She was born Dec. 7, 1931, in Hartford, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Carl Eugene Herr and the late Jennie Ellen Herr.

Esther graduated from West Middlesex High School, Edinboro University with a Bachelor's, and Slippery Rock University with a Master's in Elementary Education.

She was a member of North Main Street Church of God, where she was a member of the Keenagers Sunday School.

Esther enjoyed gardening, traveling and vacationing. She liked doing arts and crafts.

Esther is survived by her three sons, John Sassone of Latrobe, Brady Sassone of Butler and Ed Sassone of Butler; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Sassone, whom she married in June of 1955, and who passed away in 2010; one brother, David; and one sister, Mary.

SASSONE — There will be no public visitation for Esther H. Sassone, who died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021.

A celebration of life service to honor Esther's life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

A private burial will take place in the North Side Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of donor's choice.
