Janice E. Ice, 68, of Freeport, passed away the evening of Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021.

Janice was born on April 22, 1953, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late John Charles Mariacher and the late Bernadine I. McEwen Mariacher.

Janice retired from Moniteau High School as a guidance counselor.

She enjoyed crocheting.

Janice is survived by one daughter, Octavia B. Ice of Freeport; two granddaughters, Lily Finian and Violet Elizabeth; and three sisters, Mary Barbara Connolly of New Castle, Carol (Rick) York of West Virginia, and Anita (Brian) Chiaravalle of Connecticut.

She was preceded in death by one brother, William.

ICE — Memorial visitation for Janice E. Ice, who died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
