Doris Ortmann
Doris Jean (Smith) Ortmann, 89, formerly of Kittanning, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
She was born July 10, 1932, in the family homestead in North Buffalo Township, and was the daughter of the late Kenneth Emmett and Violet Lucille (Bowser) Smith.
She was a 1951 graduate of Ford City High School, and lived most of her life in North Buffalo Township.
Doris previously worked at G.C. Murphy, the Latin American Club and The Villa.
She is survived by her children, Joyce A. (James H. Eich Jr.) of Gibsonia, Michael E. (Peggy S. Schiebel) of Cabot, and Robin L. (Carl C. Wiles) of Cabot; her grandchildren, Alissa Mote (Stephen), Holly Lokuta (Edmund), Emily Vojtas (Joseph), James Eich III (Rachel), Nicole Cingolani, Katie Ortmann (Shannon), Jonathan Ortmann (Dana), Lena Ortmann (fiancé Tyler), Oksana Ortmann, Eric Welton (Nicole), Sara Morgan (Kermit), and Seth Welton (Christy); and her great-grandchildren, Madalyn, Nicholas, Joseph, Jacob, Violet, James IV (due this month), Jack, Gianna, Alexander, Avery, Jaedon, Mission, Silas and Everly.
Doris is also survived by a former son-in-law, Jack Welton; and a former daughter-in-law, Debbie Brochetti.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Ortmann, to whom she was married for 42 years; and her brother, William Harold Smith, who died in 2019.
ORTMANN — Per her request, a private viewing and service for Doris Jean (Smith) Ortmann, who died Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, will be held for her immediate family.
Arrangements are in the care of Welch Funeral Service, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City.
