Cecelia Reges
Cecelia A. “Spud” Osche Reges, 87, of Butler, passed away on Nov. 13, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
She was born April 17, 1934, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Herman Osche and the late Anna Weiland.
Cecelia worked at Castle Rubber, in the cafeteria at Butler Junior High School, and Service Star-American Hardware, retiring in 1991.
Cecelia was a member of the East Butler Fire Hall Ladies Auxiliary, and cooked at the fire hall as well. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 117, Elks, and Moose clubs.
Cecelia enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling, gambling, and going to her camp in the mountains. She liked playing cards such as poker, spades, scat, along with other card games and bingo.
Cecelia loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church.
Cecelia is survived by her three sons, Howard “Howdy” (Sue) Reges Jr., Randall “Randy” Reges and Mark (Pam) Reges; two daughters, Kimberly (Mark) Cowan and Lori (Mark) Sell; one daughter-in-law, Lenore Reges; 13 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; one sister, Judy Isovitsch; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Reges; one son, Timothy Reges; and six brothers and sisters.
REGES — Friends of Cecelia A. “Spud” Osche Reges, who died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, 210 Saint Wendelin Road, Butler, with the Rev. Matthew McClain officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
