Robert G. ”Bob” Stewart

Robert G. ”Bob” Stewart Jr., 71, of Chicora, died unexpectedly this morning, Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, at his residence.

He was born Sunday, March 19, 1950, in Brookville, Jefferson County, and was the son of the late Robert Glenn Stewart Sr. and the late Helen Mae Karns Stewart.

He married Sheila M. Schimp on Friday, April 30, 1971, and she died Friday, March 11, 2011.

He was an auto technician, who owned, repaired and inspected vehicles in his shop, Bob Stewart's Service Center, for more than 23 years.

He was a 50-year member of the Chicora Moose Lodge 962. He was a member of Bradys Bend American Legion, Parker VFW, Argyle Masonic Lodge of Chicora, and numerous other local organizations.

He is survived by a son, Eric and Tina Stewart of Petrolia; a daughter, Brandi and Steve Stroup of Chicora; and five grandchildren, Macy Stewart, Cody Stroup, Abby Stewart, Dillan Stroup and Colben Stewart.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Darrin Stewart; and his sister, Joanne Stalker.

STEWART — Friends of Robert G. ”Bob” Stewart Jr., who died Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora.

Chicora Moose Lodge will conduct memorial services at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Wallace officiating.

Private burial will be in Cedarview Cemetery in Strattanville, Pa.
