Diane Marburger, county treasurer, reminds residents of Butler and the boroughs of Callery, Connoquenessing, Karns City, Valencia and West Sunbury that the final day to pay 2021 real estate taxes is Dec. 31.

No personal checks will be accepted after Friday, and the treasurer's office is closed Christmas Eve and Dec. 31.

Cash, money orders or cashier's checks will be accepted in person at the treasurer's office until Jan. 3 due to the extended three-day holiday weekend, Marburger said.

The treasurer's office is in the county government center on West Diamond Street, behind the county courthouse.

Mailed guaranteed funds will be accepted with USPS cancellation postmarks prior to Jan. 4. The mailing address for 2021 property tax payment is PO Box 1208, Butler, PA. 16003-1208.

County real estate tax payments that are not guaranteed funds or received after the deadline will be considered delinquent.
