Kelly announces run for seventh term
U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, R-16th, announced Monday that he will run for his seventh term in office next year.
The 16th district includes all of Erie, Crawford, Mercer and Lawrence and part of Butler counties.
“This is a very critical time for our country. We are seeing a daily and unprecedented attack on our God-given freedoms, on our Constitutional rights, and on our ability to raise and provide for our families,” said Kelly.
Kelly defeated former Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper in 2010 and challenger Kristy Gnibus in 2020.
“I've always said it's not about me, it's about the people of this district — hardworking families who feel the impact of government decisions directly in their pocketbook. I want to continue to fight for them,” Kelly said.
Kelly served on the House Ways and Means Committee and the health and oversight subcommittees.
