David S. Burgard

David S. Burgard, 91, of Evans City, passed away at home on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, surrounded by family.

He was born on Aug. 20, 1930, in Pittsburgh, and was the son of the late Sylvester and Emma (Wymer) Burgard.

David was known to be loving, selfless, faithful and hardworking. He enjoyed working in his yard and volunteering at his church as an usher, but most of all, he had a passion for antique cars.

Above all else, David was a family man, who loved to spend time with his beloved wife, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was the loving husband of Charlotte Burgard for over 69 years; the father of David Burgard, Cindy Edinger, Tom (Terrie) Burgard, Corie (Gil) Orchard and Jason (Colleen) Burgard; and the brother of Leo Burgard, Eileen Best and Caroline Young.

He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane; two brothers; two sisters; and his son-in-law, Kenny Edinger.

BURGARD — Friends of David S. Burgard, who died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at LifePointe Alliance Church, 997 PA-228, Mars.

Friends will also be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday and a funeral will immediately follow at the church.
