Elaine Ruth
Elaine (Boarts) Ruth, 78, of Fenelton, is rejoicing in heaven as she went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, after battling an illness while at Allegheny Valley Hospital.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the hospital staff for their caring professionalism and comforting compassion for Elaine and her family.
Elaine was born on June 15, 1943, in Kittanning, and was a lifelong resident of Armstrong and Butler counties. She was the daughter of James Arthur and Ruby Claire (Bowser) Boarts, who both predeceased her. She graduated from Kittanning High School in 1961 where she spent many years as a cheerleader and active class member. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker and eventually joined Servistar Corporation as a secretary for 18 years.
It was at Servistar where Elaine met Dale Ruth, her husband of 34 years. Together in retirement, they have enjoyed traveling to Maui, Alaska and many day trips to Amish country. Elaine and Dale were often found singing together at senior centers and retirement homes. Elaine loved cookie baking with her daughters and family wedding planning. Holidays and get-togethers were of top priority as family time was extremely precious to Elaine.
Elaine enjoyed attending various area churches. She lived a selfless life as a servant to others. Elaine was truly the hands and feet of Jesus, as her life's purpose was to share His word and undying love with those around her. She was a true prayer warrior for her family and so many others. She was deeply committed to her friends/prayer partners and valued their time spent together.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Ruth; brother, Bob (Jackie) Boarts; children, Carrie Knepshield, Vicki (Gary) Bigley, Brenda Hilliard, Kelly (Michael) Kane and Bill (Rae Ann) Emminger; stepchildren, Kirk (Ashley) Ruth and Kevin (Rebecca) Ruth; 24 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Sadie.
Ruth — The family of Elaine (Boarts) Ruth, who died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, will hold a private funeral service followed by a celebration of life held at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
