James M. Crawford

James M. Crawford

James M. Crawford, 80 of Karns City died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, at ACMH Hospital.

Born Sept. 2, 1941, in Queenstown, Jim was the son of Edward and Alice (Bowser) Crawford.

On Feb. 15, 1964, Jim married the former Connie L. Wolfe, she survives.

Jim began his career as a meat cutter at the Tops-All Market in East Brady, then worked for Witco Chemical, retiring after 40 years.

He was a member of the Queenstown United Methodist Church where he was a trustee and caretaker of the church.

Jim was a member of the Hilltop Beagle Club and served as President for many years. He loved horses and horseracing; gardening and tending to his fruit trees; deer hunting; and tinkering in his garage. Jim had a huge “sweet tooth” — a cookie could always make him smile.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Crawford of Karns City; one daughter, Lori (Rob) Campbell of East Brady; one son, Greg (Christine) Crawford of East Brady; three grandchildren, Craig Campbell of Bradys Bend, Jamie (Jeremiah) Heasley of Kittanning and Sabrina Crawford of East Brady; and one great-granddaughter, Bella Grace Campbell.

Jim is also survived by two sisters, Phyllis (Frank) Zavilla of Sarver and Janice (Henry) Hall of Butler; four brothers-in-law, Jacob (Kathy) Wolfe of Sherrett, James (Linda) Wolfe of East Brady, Ron (Terri) Wolfe of Adrian and Rick Swaney of Adrian; one sister-in-law, Pat Wolfe of Adrian; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Crawford; and two sisters, Violet “Joan” Miles and Bonnie Crawford.
