Man hit by vehicle on Rt. 8
A man was hospitalized after being struck Monday by a car on Route 8 in Butler Township.
Butler Township and Butler City fire departments responded along with Butler Ambulance to the call issued by dispatchers around 7:39 a.m. in front of the Sheetz on Route 8.
Butler Township Fire Chief Kevin Smith said the man had been hit by a car, and emergency crews worked to quickly load him into an ambulance. The ambulance brought the man to the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport, where he was picked up by medical helicopter for transport to a Pittsburgh hospital.
Butler Township Police were in charge of the investigation at the scene.
