Matilda A. McClafferty

Matilda A. “Tillie” McClafferty, 91, of Butler passed away Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot.

Born May 23, 1930, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Rocco and Anna Lepore Salvaggio.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

Tillie and her late husband, William R. “Squire” McClafferty, owned and operated Salvaggio's Pizza in Butler.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Tillie was preceded in death by her husband. William R. “Squire” McClafferty, who passed away Oct. 23, 2009; four brothers; and four sisters.

McClafferty — Friends of Matilda A. “Tillie” McClafferty, who died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Avenue, Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday from All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler, with the Rev. Dan Waruszewski, officiating.

Burial will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
