Robert Henderson

Robert Brian Henderson, 44, unexpectedly went to join his mother in Heaven on Oct. 7, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital.

Born April 5, 1977, he was the son of Robert Louis Henderson and the late Yvonne (Buchanich) Henderson.

Bob was known for his heart of gold. He was the kindest, most generous man, volunteering whenever and wherever there was a need.

He was a man of faith, active in the local church as usher, helping with Operation Christmas Child, the food bank and much more.

Bob was a 1995 graduate of Freeport High School.

He worked as a laborer all of his career, but his most recent job was a child care worker at the YMCA, which he found was the most rewarding and enjoyable. His love for kids was obvious to all. Mr. Bob was clearly the favorite summer camp counselor! He always put the feelings of others before himself and was a great role model for all to follow.

In his free time, Bob liked watching wrestling with his family, reading, and looking for ways to be a blessing. He touched the lives of everyone who came in contact with him.

He is survived by his father, Robert Louis Henderson; his sister, Lori Henderson Cutright; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

HENDERSON — A celebration of life for Robert Brian Henderson, who died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at Community Life Church, 1104 Pittsburgh Pike Road, Butler. Friends and family are invited to attend.
