Lawrence Williams

Lawrence Owen “Larry” Williams, 67, of Butler, formerly of Los Angeles, Calif., passed away on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, after a short illness at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Aug. 16, 1954, in Butler, he was the son of Owen Joseph Williams and Shirley V. Kennedy Williams.

Larry was a 1972 graduate of Knoch High School, and a 1976 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in music composition and performance. Larry went on to graduate from the Musicians Institute, Hollywood, formerly Guitar Institute, with a Master of Music degree.

Larry was a professional musician and later became a technology professional.

Larry was an avid member of the prestigious Santa Clarita Blues Society. He was a very active performing musician throughout his life.

Surviving are his loving wife, Theresa Huerlimann Williams, whom he married Feb. 7, 1991; his mother, Shirley V. Williams of Gibsonia; his siblings, his sister, Cheryl D. (Carolyn Cass) Williams of Harrisburg, Robert L. (Kelley) Phillips of Murrietta, Calif., Grant A. (Debbie) Williams of Butler, and Mark P. (Sandra) Williams of Gibsonia; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Owen Joseph Williams.

WILLIAMS — There will be no visitation for Lawrence Owen “Larry” Williams, who died Friday, Oct. 8, 2021.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
