Frank E. Curnayn
Frank E. Curnayn, 80, of Butler, an avid people person and dog lover, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital of chronic natural causes.
Born March 7, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Emmet Curnayn and Dorothy (Puthoff) Curnayn.
He spent his early years as a salesman for Cincinnati Milacron, and later put his hands to work as a skilled handyman. He was a man who knew a good bit about nearly everything, and if you were ever looking for him, those who knew him well knew to check the garage first!
Frank will be remembered by his family and friends for his love of learning and well-rounded knowledge, his brilliant creativity and giving heart, and his genuine interest in others. He always enjoyed time with friends, drinking a good cup of coffee, and was never far from the company of his dogs, Sunny and Major.
Frank is survived by his five children, Frank E. (Dory) Curnayn Jr. of Winnebago, Ill., Stephen E. (Missy) Curnayn of Vilonia, Ark., Phyllis “Fi” E. (Gary) Saeler of Butler, Julie E. (Chris) Stahl of Denver, N.C., and Daniel E. (Stephanie) Curnayn of Traverse City, Mich.; along with his seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
