Jeannette Kirkpatrick

Jeannette Kirkpatrick of Butler, died on Oct. 1, 2021, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

She was born on April 22, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Wilson E. and Jeannette R. Kirkpatrick of Harrisburg.

Retired from Nationwide Insurance, she had graduated from Sargent College, now part of Boston University, with a bachelor's degree in education.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wilson “Sonny” Kirkpatrick; a sister, Ann K. Sweeney and her husband, Robert H. Sweeney; and a nephew, Timothy S. Sweeney.

She is survived by a niece, Patricia S. Haskell and her husband, David, of Cumming, Ga.; a nephew, John K. Sweeney and his wife, Joan, of Greensburg, and Christine Sweeney, the wife of her nephew, Timothy, of North Huntingdon, Pa.; along with several great-nieces and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Jeannette was a longtime parishioner of St. Peter's Anglican Church in Butler, where she was active in many ministries, a driver for Meals on Wheels, and a proud member of the local Red Hat Ladies and other social groups. She was a faithful servant of a loving God, to whom she relied and called upon on many occasions throughout her life.

KIRKPATRICK — A memorial service for Jeannette Kirkpatrick, who died Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, will be held Monday at St. Peter's Anglican Church, 218 E. Jefferson St., Butler.

Arrangements are under the direction of YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, Butler.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter's Anglican Church.
