The Butler County Family YMCA's Turkey Trot begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

The out-and-back race starts at the Butler YMCA on North Washington Street, goes down West Penn Street, turns at Miller Street and passes Wick Street with a turnaround point in Memorial Park.

The 1-mile race begins at 9:45 a.m. The 5K race kicks off at 10 a.m. Registration fees go to Y's annual support campaign.

Streets may be closed to traffic anytime from 8 to 11:30 a.m., and, as in past years, the race course will be closed and patrolled by local CB Rangers and the city police department, with emergency response teams available for participants.

Online registration is closed but day-of registrations starts at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
