Mars Lumber

Whether due to a lack of large-scale public activities or the recent trend of working from home, people are spending more and more time in their homes. It is not surprising, then, to see people looking to make upgrades and personalize the space they are spending the majority of their time in.

If you find yourself in a similar situation, Mars Lumber is here to help. Located on Mars-Evans City Road, just outside of Mars, we have been helping the greater Pittsburgh area with its remodeling needs for the past 28 years. With a small, but skilled and experienced staff, we specialize in working with our customers to produce what they want for their homes, not just what might be available “on the shelf.”

We are able to help with commercial and residential projects and work with builders, contractors or directly with business owners and homeowners on a regular basis.

The majority of our products are milled in-house, and because we have the ability to make custom tooling at our facilities, we are especially adept at replication and restoration projects.

Looking to add an addition that matches the look of your existing home? We can match the millwork for a consistent look between old and new. Looking to finally replace that one piece of baseboard that the dog chewed to splinters? We can help with that too.

This level of specialization extends to the types of wood we can offer our customers for their projects as well. We are currently carrying more than 100 different species of wood. We have found that it is important to be able to offer our customers this level of flexibility as market trends continue to evolve.

For customers looking for a crisp, painted look for their millwork, we typically recommend poplar. For homeowners and businesses looking to update their spaces with made-to-order wooden counter tops or wooden shelving, we have numerous options. Whether they want a classic look like maple or oak, or something more modern like walnut or mahogany, we can accommodate.

For those who don’t know quite where to start, feel free to call in to speak to a sales associate or stop in to our showroom to see all of the different possibilities.
