The Butler Freeport Community Trail Council had a trick-or-treat and fundraiser event at the Cooper Station Caboose Saturday morning.

The Butler Freeport Community Trail Council held a trick-or-treat and fundraiser event at the Cooper Station Caboose Saturday morning.

Volunteers with the council handed out candy and cookies and gave tours of the “haunted” caboose, which had been decorated for Halloween by Betsy Kennon and other volunteers.

“Last year when COVID hit, that was the first time in something like 30 years that I didn't get to have a big Halloween party,” Kennon said.
