Ronald E. Kniess
Ronald E. Kniess, 72, of Harmony, passed away after a short illness Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021 while under the care of Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born March 28, 1949, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Claude O. Kniess and Lillian Haigh Kniess.
Ron proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed learning and sharing his knowledge with others about World War II and the Vietnam War. In his free time, Ron enjoyed hunting and reading. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years, Cynthia A. Bloom Kniess, who he married on Aug. 18, 1978; his children, Lucas Kniess of Morningside, Andrew (Dana) Kniess of Leechburg, Kate (Jason) Satryan of St. Augustine, Fla., and Misty (Eric) Funnell of Palmdale, Calif.; his grandchildren, Ella Mae, Abby, Levi, Allesandra, Vincent, Aubriana and Madilyn; his brother, Claude D. (Dora) Kniess of Evans City; his sisters, Nancy Nicklas of Carpinteria, Calif., and Betty Sapienza of Mainsville, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
KNIESS — Services for Ronald E. Kniess, who died Sept. 28, 2021, will be held privately by the family.
