Paul Johnson Sr.
Mr. Paul “Dodds” Johnson Sr., 83, of Ellwood City passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at the UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Mr. Johnson was born April 20, 1938, in Pittsburgh, and was the son of the late Thomas and Josephine (Fowler) Johnson.
He was an elementary school teacher, auctioneer, father, grandfather, uncle and best friend.
He grew up in Zelienople, went to college at Edinboro (his favorite days) then to his farm in Fombell, where he raised his children.
He loved music and could sing like an angel. His smile would light up the room and his hugs were the absolute BEST.
He is survived by six of his children, Gailyn (Mark) Matscherz of Zelienople, Alison (Jeff) Scott of Ellwood City, Erin Roman of Sherman, N.Y., DJ (Elizabeth) Johnson of Shartlesville, Pa., Lauran (Tim) Houk of New Castle and Dan (Nichole) Johnson of Sherman, N.Y.; and 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his children, Shawn Johnson and Lacy Johnson.

JOHNSON — Visitation for Mr. Paul “Dodds” Johnson Sr., who died Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory, 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at Holy Redeemer Church, with the Rev. Phil Farrell officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Gregory Cemetery in Zelienople.
