John Stauffer

John “Jack” H. Stauffer, 74, of Butler, passed away Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Jack was born on Aug. 23, 1947, in Butler, and was the son of John Bovard Stauffer and the late Ellen Matheny Stauffer.

Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in Vietnam.He worked in maintenance at Pullman Standard.He was a member of Meridian Presbyterian Church.Jack was an avid sportsman, having enjoyed both hunting and fishing, and he also had a love for the game of football.Jack is survived by his father, John B. Stauffer of Butler; one sister, Patricia (Al) Skornicka of Ohio; one brother, Thomas Alan (Callista) Stauffer of Ohio; two stepdaughters, Sylvia (Ed) Bella of Butler, and Linda (Bob) Martsolf of Butler; one stepson, George (Nancy Rozman) Knochel of Butler; and seven stepgrandchildren.Jack was preceded in death by his mom, Ellen.STAUFFER — Per his wishes, visitation and funeral services for John “Jack” H. Stauffer, who died Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, were held privately with Pastor Steve Franklin officiating.Burial was held privately in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.Arrangements were handled by WILLIAM F.
