II-VI in Europe uses renewable electricity
In a news release Tuesday, II-VI, the worldwide manufacturer of engineered materials and optoelectronic components headquartered in Clinton Township, announced that its European facilities are now powered with 100% renewable electricity sources.
That includes the company’s manufacturing, research and development, and sales offices in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, encompassing 615,000 square feet across 12 sites.
The action eliminates about 5,800 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year.
