Diana Geibel

Diana Geibel

Diana Marie Voltz Geibel, of Sarver, went to heaven on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021.

She was born on April 24, 1943. She was the daughter of Jane Boyle Voltz and Leo James Voltz (both deceased). In 1962, she married Ronald F. Geibel (deceased) and enjoyed raising three children, Ronald F. Geibel II (Cynthia) of North Carolina, Rita Geibel Mayberry (Timothy) of Sarver and Kenneth Geibel (Shelly) of Sarver. She was a loving grandmother to five grandchildren, as well as to her three great-grandchildren.

Diana was a graduate of Knoch High School and continued her education at Carnegie Technology, majoring in Spanish. She later graduated with a B.S. degree from Slippery Rock University, majoring in English and minoring in history. After publishing her extensive genealogy research in the book “From the Archives of Butler County, Pennsylvania,” she was considered the foremost regional expert in her field. Diana enjoyed reading, crocheting, and gardening.

Diana grew up with 12 siblings, James Voltz (Barbara, deceased), Ramon Voltz (Carolyn), Joanne Thiele (Robert), Nancy Henkin (David, deceased), Margaret Hanna (Ronald), John Voltz (Judy), Pamela Murdock (John, both deceased), Randolph Voltz (Gailmae), Jacqueline Booher (William), Carl Voltz (Lucinda), Susan Vadnal and Cynthia Miller. She was very close to her deceased husband's sisters, Linda Angert (Thomas, deceased) and Bonnie Bergbigler (Paul). Diana did her best to be actively involved in her many nieces' and nephews' lives. She will be sorely missed by all.

Geibel — A Mass of Christian burial for Diana Marie Voltz Geibel who died Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery.

Arrangements by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St., Butler.
