John Hogan

John James Hogan, 79, of Kittanning, died on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, at home.

He was born on April 3, 1942, in Fredricksburg, Pa., to the late Robert & Myrtle (Brocious) Hogan.

John was a laborer and Vietnam veteran. He was a member of Crisswell and Christian With a Vision. He also belonged to the American Legion in Brady's Bend. John enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandkids.He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Carol Hogan of Kittanning; daughter, Sheri (Elmer) Hooks of Adrian; granddaughters, Kami Hooks and Josi Hooks of Adrian; grandson, Wyatt Hogan of Adrian; brother-in-law, Sam and Dot Tarr of Adrian; sister-in-law, Jerry and Ann Tarr of Adrian, and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son, Shawn Hogan on April 1, 2021; brother, Robert Hogan; sisters, Audine Malarkey and Bertha Jean Miles; and nephew, Josh Dibble.Hogan — Family and friends of John James Hogan, who died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville, Pa.A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday.For more information or to express condolences to the family, please visit www.snydercrissman.com.
