Norbert Kulbacki

Norbert “Butch” Kulbacki, 86, of Butler, passed away on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, while under the care of the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot.

Born Sept. 12, 1935, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Joseph and Stella Kaczynski Kulbacki.

Family was always his number one priority — safe, happy, healthy and together. Because of his hard work, he was able to build a beautiful life for his loved ones.

Butch was self-employed, and owned and operated Richland Electric with his wife, Dolly.

They traveled many places throughout Europe. With the help of family and friends, they built a beautiful cabin along the Allegheny River, where they spent many hours relaxing and enjoying many great parties.

He loved hunting big and small game all over the country, fishing below Kinzua Dam, and spending time with his many hunting and fishing buddies.

In his later years, they rode in style with the Air Stream Club, seeing all the beautiful and interesting places in this country, including wintering in the Fort Myers area, and enjoying the great Florida weather.

Butch had aspired to be a Mason and realized that dream. His Polish heritage was very important to him, and he loved Polka music. The first years of his life were spent on Polish Hill, where he attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, until his family moved to Hampton. It was then, as a 12-year-old, that he found his love of hunting and fishing and going to Hardy’s Lake. He met his future wife there at the age of 16. They fell in love, and that love lasted to this day. He always said, “We had a good run.”

Butch leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 66 years, Blanche “Dolly”; his four daughters, Janet (Ron) Tarr, Teresa (Jeff) Culverwell, Pamela (Mark) Rutledge and Carol (Eric Adams) Heller; his 12 grandchildren; and his 12 great-grandchildren.

His daughter, Susan, and many other family members greeted him in Heaven.
