Gerald “Jerry” Foley Sr., 87, of Butler passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021.

He was born Jan. 1, 1934, in Butler, and was the son of the late Thomas and Ellen Foley. He was the youngest of 11 siblings.

Gerald retired from Armco after 43 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to camp.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Above all else, he loved spending time with his family, kids and grandkids.

Gerald was the beloved husband of Geraldine (Burns) Foley, since their marriage in 1956; the father of Wayne Foley, Jacquelyn (Donald) Bullman, Brian Foley, Patricia (Mark) Simons, Dawn Harvey and Michele (Deron) Hutchison.

He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

FOLEY — A Mass of Christian burial for Gerald “Jerry” Foley Sr., who died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Butler.

Entombment will follow privately.
