Preston Park will have a 5K race Oct. 24 meant to introduce people to the 87 acres that make up the park, which is located on South Eberhart Road.

Butler High School senior Peyton Pry serves as a student liaison with the Butler Township commissioners, and is helping to organize the race, according to a post on Butler Area School District’s website.

Race sponsorship contributions will help maintain the park and make improvements.
