David C. Baker

David C. Baker “The Bake Man,” 80, of Butler died on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021.

He was born Feb. 28, 1941, in Butler, and was the son of the late Ernest and Gladys (Schaffner) Baker.

Dave served his country honorably with the U.S. Air Force.

He was a talented musician with numerous bands, and loved to sing, play and listen to music.

He enjoyed fishing, watching the Steelers, but most of all, telling jokes.

David was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for numerous years, and loved spending time with his fellow “Road Dawgs.”

He was loved and will be greatly missed.

David was the beloved father of Stephanie Szymanski and Kristin Baker; grandfather of Ivy, Nina and Brady; and brother of Mary Jenkins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Baker — Friends of David C. Baker “The Bake Man,” who died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
