Blues band to play benefit for Zelie library

The Zelienople Area Public Library will host a benefit concert beginning at 5 p.m. Oct. 10 at the community park amphitheater.

The benefit will feature Eugene and The Nightcrawlers, a blues band that plays throughout Western Pennsylvania, along with food and drink from a local vendor.

Eugene Morgan, the eponymous Eugene of the band, is a Georgia-born blues singer who appears both solo and with The Nightcrawlers. The Nightcrawlers, according to Fuzion Entertainment, have opened for 1970s superstars such as Kansas, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Styx.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase from ShuBrew.

Tickets for the event are $4 if purchased before Oct. 10, or $5 on the day of the concert. Ticket information is available by calling the library, visiting its website or viewing its Facebook page.

The amphitheater is located at 402 East Beaver St. in Zelienople.
