Rodney L. Williams

Rodney L. Williams, 65, of Portersville passed away on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, after a courageous battle.

He was born in Butler on Oct. 7, 1955, and was the son to the late Chester and Mary Williams.

Rodney spent the majority of his career as a commercial truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, working on cars with his best friend Paul Wolfe, cooking dinners for his family and friends, and was legendary for his spaghetti sauce. He was known to be a loving and caring man who put his family first, loved being a father, and will be forever missed.

Rodney was the beloved father of Jessie (Mark) Smith and Shannon (Michael) Stehle; stepfather of Steve and Amanda Kennedy; grandfather of Scylar, Aiden, Stesha, Kellen and Mara; and stepgrandfather of Kiara. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty June (Pete) Boyle and Debbie Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Williams; his second wife, Rebecca Williams; and his brother, Larry Williams.

Williams — Friends of Rodney L. Williams, who died Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, in SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blind Association.
