Stephen J. Biedenbach, 91, of Herman, passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospice House, Wexford.

Born Sept. 2, 1929, in Herman, he was a son of the late Henry and Catherine Christy Biedenbach.

He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in occupied Germany.Steve was employed as a yardmaster for the Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad.He is survived by one son, Roger W. Biedenbach and his wife, Brenda, of Carnegie; one daughter, Brenda Reynolds and her husband, Tom, of New Castle, Del.; two sisters, Alice Young and her husband, Paul, of Herman, and Marie Fields of Arkansas; four brothers, Paul Biedenbach and his wife, Dot, of Herman, Francis Biedenbach and his wife, Beverly, of Herman, Joe Biedenbach of Ohio, and Charlie Biedenbach of Tennessee; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Alice A. Porneluzzi Biedenbach, who passed away Feb. 27, 2017; and one son, Don Biedenbach, who passed away Dec. 11, 2013.BIEDENBACH — Friends of Stephen J. Biedenbach, who died Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, at Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler.Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery.Military honors will be accorded at the church by VFW Post 249, American Legion Post 778, American Legion Post 117, and VFW Post 499.Please visit www.martinfh.net.
