Raymond C. Stitt Sr.

Raymond C. Stitt Sr., 86, of Ford City passed away on Aug. 26, 2021, at Armstrong Rehabilitation.

Raymond was born on July 14, 1935, in Kittanning, and was the son of the late Albert Stitt and Hazel Mechling Stitt.

He was the husband of Sally Law Stitt, whom he married Dec. 15, 1956.

He had worked as a millwright for Braeburn Steel in Lower Burrell.

He enjoyed making canes, and liked fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sally; his daughters, Debra Stitt and Chris Giron of Kittanning, Diana (Gary) Walker of Rural Valley, and Donna (Scott) Collins of Butler; his sons, Raymond C. (Kim) Stitt Jr. of Ford City, and Rodney Stitt of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; his grandchildren, Chasidy and Erik Koch, Benjamin and Kelly Olinger, Brandy and Kevin Shaffer, Dakoda and Ashley Collins, Zachary Collins, and Adam and Amber Collins; and his great-grandchildren, Kendall Koch, Riley Koch, Garrett Olinger, Caitlynn Olinger, Elliott Shaffer, Aiden Shaffer, Luke Shaffer, Kaylee Collins, Austin Collins, Chloe Collins, Parker Collins and Luke Collins.

He is also survived by his brother, Ronald Stitt of Chicora; his sisters, Carol (Buck) Stewart of Ford City, and Linda (Ferd) Crownoves of Kittanning; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his brother, Bow Stitt; and his sister-in-law, Madelyn Stitt.

STITT — Per his wishes, services for Raymond C. Stitt Sr., who died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, were held privately by his family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mantini Funeral Home, Ford City.
