Shirley Matuke
Shirley “GG” Jones Matuke, 81, of Butler, passed away on Aug. 16, 2021, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 31, 1939, in Coshocton, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Edward Jones and the late Dorothy (Stevenson) Jones.
Shirley was a graduate of Butler High School.
She worked as a secretary for Butler Stamping, and Oesterling Sandblasting.
Shirley enjoyed bingo and reading.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Sheri Davidson of Butler; one granddaughter, Taylor Davidson; five great-grandchildren, Lexi, Fallon, Jimmy, Annabelle and Lilly; two stepdaughters, Julie Lumpkin and Michele Slupe; one stepson, Al Matuke; five stepgrandchildren, Ashley, William, Gretchen, Erika and Jennifer; five nieces, Lori, Debbie, Dawn, Diana and Darcey; two nephews, Doug and Matthew; and an uncle, Jon Doutt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Matuke; her granddaughter, Lindsay Selfridge; and two sisters, Gertrude Brewster and Marilynn Bodesheim.
MATUKE — A memorial service for Shirley “GG” Jones Matuke, who died Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Joel A. Benson officiating.
Burial will take place in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
