John Wayne Shuler

John Wayne Shuler, 59, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital following an illness.

Born Oct. 2, 1961, in Butler, he was a son of the late Regis and Elizabeth “Betty” Ehrman Shuler.

John was employed as an equipment operator at Kaclik Builders. He also was a farmer.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 117, Butler.

He was the best father and pappy anyone could ask for, and the strongest person we know.

He is survived by three children, Kelli Jo Lovich and her husband, Dereke, of Herman, Josh Shuler and his wife, Kate, of Butler, and Jonathon Shuler of Butler; five grandchildren, Aubrey, Mackenzie Jo, Aleigha, Coltyn and Adalyn; one brother, William Shuler and his wife, Patricia, of Butler; two sisters, Tammy Anthony and her husband, William, of Butler, and Helen Schnur and her husband, James, of Butler; his girlfriend, Kimberly Porter of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one grandson, Colbee Regis Lovich, who passed away Sept. 15, 2014.
