A portion of Allegheny Clarion Valley School District transitioned back to in-person learning today, but fifth and sixth graders remain in remote learning for the rest of the week.

The fifth and sixth graders will return to their classrooms on Monday, Sept. 13.

"We talked with the PA Department of Health and they are not recommending additional closures at this time. This means that the extracurricular programs will start back up, CCCC students will go to the CCCC, and weekend activities can resume as normal on Thursday," Superintendent Dr. David McDeavitt said in the Wednesday post to the district's website.

As students return to face-to-face instruction, the district will abide by the department of health's masking order.

"Please know that not all school board members, administrators, or staff agree with the new masking order; but some do, and it is our obligation to adhere to the order at this time," McDeavitt said.
