Alice Schultz

Alice “Jane” Schultz, 90, formerly of Bradford Woods, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, while under the care of The Arbors at Valencia Woods in Valencia.

Jane was born on June 1, 1931, in Globe, Ariz., and was the daughter of the late Roy and Muriel Rosecrans Lacey.

Catholic by faith, Jane was a former member of St. Richard Catholic Church in Gibsonia.

She earned her master's degree in education.

Jane was a reading specialist in Massachusetts, and volunteered in special education and as a reading specialist in the North Allegheny School District. She volunteered for 18 years for the North Country Meals on Wheels.

Jane was proud to be a descendant of General William Starke Rosecrans. She loved to read, travel, sew and quilt. Jane made more than 100 quilts in her lifetime, which she gave away to family, friends and charities. Above all, Jane loved her family.

Jane leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Linda Dufresne (Ray) of New Hampshire, Greg Schultz (Sandy) of Philadelphia, Steve Schultz (Loren) of Cranberry Township, and James Schultz (Lois) of Ingomar; her grandchildren, Heather Glavin, Jonathan Dufresne, Justin Dufresne, Jeff Schultz, Lindsey Thomas, Ridgley Schultz, Danielle Sepos, Rachael Kirschner, Crystal Schultz, Brian Schultz, Adam Schultz and Kelly McMillian;13 great-grandchildren and two on the way; and her brother, Larry Lacey (Linda) of Massachusetts.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Norman James Schultz (Korean War Navy veteran), who passed away on Dec. 24, 2002; and two brothers, Thomas and Philip Lacey.

SCHULTZ — Friends of Alice “Jane” Schultz, who died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3 p.m. Tuesday at BOYLAN GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.

Memorial donations may be made in Jane's honor to The Arbors at Valencia Woods, 85 Charity Place, Valencia, PA 16059.
