MIDDLESEX TWP — The turkey vulture walked down a branch to get a better view.

All these people, the talking and the clapping — it was a cause for curiosity for Artemis, the roughly three- to four-pound turkey vulture.

For those in attendance Saturday afternoon at Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy, however, it was a cause for celebration — and "Arty" was at the center of it.

The roughly 14-acre nature conservancy in Middlesex Township was unveiling to the public its newest aviary, one that houses Arty and which was the culmination of a half-decade of fundraising.
