Carolyn Ann Beck

Carolyn Ann Beck

Carolyn Ann “Kate” Beck, 82, of Renfrew, peacefully went to her heavenly home on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at her residence with her loved ones by her side.

Born July 21, 1939, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Clara Schach Brenckle.

A graduate of Freedom High School, she was a member of the Class of 1957.

She was a homemaker.

She enjoyed dancing, hat parties, bowling, bingo, cards, family life, having a good time and sharing her infectious smile with everyone she met. In short, she loved life!

Although she never fulfilled her dream to serve as a WAC, Kate was an ardent supporter of our veterans through her affiliation and membership with the VFW and the American Legion.

She married her husband, Wilbur C. Beck Jr., on June 25, 1960. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1992.

She is survived by her eight children, Bonnie Zore and her husband, Tom, of Canton, Ohio, Jenny Smith and her husband, Roger, of Portersville, Tim Beck of Butler, Beve Raff of North Canton, Ohio, Judy Claypoole and her husband, Adam, of Butler, Sam Beck of Evans City, George Beck and his wife, Katie, of Martinsburg, W.Va. and John Beck of Butler; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and five siblings, Rose Schellar of Freedom, Janet Johnston of Baden, Boots Porter of Zelienople, Bob Brenckle of Las Cruces, N.M., and Tom Brenckle and his wife, Mary Ann, of Zelienople.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Kate was preceded in death by one grandson, Dustin; two brothers, John and Jim Brenckle; one sister, Dorothy; and one nephew, Danny.

While Kate's passing will leave a void in the hearts of those who loved her, memories of her will surely bring comfort and a smile whenever she comes to mind.

BECK — There will be no visitation for Carolyn Ann “Kate” Beck, who died Saturday, July 24, 2021.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
