Christine Heckathorne

Christine Heckathorne, 80, of Saxonburg, passed away on July 18, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Christine was born July 8, 1941, in Lyndora.

She operated an in-home day care.

She was a member of Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church for the past 19 years, where she had served as deacon, elder, and helped take communion to shut-ins. She was also a member of The Red Hat Society.

She loved to read and to spend time with her family, friends and neighbors.

Surviving are her children, Michael (Jennifer) Heckathorne of Allison Park, Mark (Kelley) Heckathorne of McKees Rocks, Michele (Jody) Males of West Kittanning, and Mindy (Joseph) Caruso of New Kensington; nine grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Heckathorne.

HECKATHORNE — There will be no visitation for Christine Heckathorne, who died Sunday, July 18, 2021.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Doug Dorsey officiating.

Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
