Poor weather contributes to crash
200 block of Eagle Mill Road
CONNOQUENESSING TWP — Poor weather conditions caused at least one crash Wednesday morning. Emergency crews responded about 7:55 a.m. Wednesday to the 200 block of Eagle Mill Road, where a driver slammed into a utility pole. The SUV collided head-on with the pole, which also appeared bent and snapped in the middle, but still upright. According to Connoquenessing Township firefighters, the driver was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, and the emergency crew remained on the scene to provide traffic control. State police said they believe the driver's injuries were minor. Police said rain, road conditions and speed likely were factors in the crash.
