Marvin H.Gall

Marvin H. Gall, 87, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at his residence.

Born Feb. 20, 1934, in Butler, he was the son of the late George E. and Irene (Bachman) Gall.

After graduating high school, Marvin attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he received a bachelor's degree and went on to Westminster College and obtained his Master's Degree in Education.

Marvin was employed as a social studies teacher for 30 years at Mars Area School District. He was the junior high football coach and an assistant coach for the varsity team. He was involved with Meals on Wheels and the BMH Auxiliary for 30 years. Marvin was a coach in the Butler Township Little League and served on various boards and agencies.

Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Margaret D. Gall, whom he married in 1957, of Butler; a daughter, Kathy Williams and her husband, John, of Butler; five grandchildren, Chris Gall and wife, Katie, Cameron Gall, Kiersten, Hannah and Jackson Williams; one great-grandchild, Carter Gall; one brother, David Gall; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Gall; and two sisters, Carol Leyland and Mary Scott.

Gall — There will be no public viewing for Marvin H. Gall, who died Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.

Thompson-Miller funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler is assisting the family with their arrangements.
