Jack B. Burr, 79, of Ambler, Pa., died on Monday, July 12, 2021. He was the loving husband of Catherine “Cathy” (Napolie) Burr.

Jack was born in Ellwood City on May 21, 1942, and was the son to the late Bernard and Emma Katherine “Katy” (Schofield) Burr.

He worked in printing management for many years and was the custodian at Grace Lutheran Church of Wyndmoor. Jack was a graduate of Zelienople High School Class of ’60 and West Virginia Tech. Class of ’64. He was an avid bicycle rider.

Along with his wife Cathy, he is survived by his daughter, Hope Burr; his sisters, Janet Muirhead (Jim) and Betty Freshcorn (Fred). He will be lovingly remembered by his three nieces, Leigh Anne Wertepney, Robin Valder and Stephanie Brudwick; and two nephews, Bryan Freshcorn and Gregg Freshcorn.

BURR — Relatives and friends of Jack B. Burr, who died Monday, July 12, 2021, are invited to his memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2021, at Grace Lutheran Church, 801 E. Willow Grove Ave., Glenside, Pa.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Face masks are required.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jack’s name can be made to Grace Lutheran Church at the above address.
