Dorothy “Tink” Simms, 88, of Butler, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on Jan. 29, 1933, in Windy City, Venango County, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Goldie Smith Lowers.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her three children, Terri Phillips, of Butler, Jody Giacomantonio, of Scenery Hill, and Jayme Simms (Cheryl), of Meridian; four grandchildren, Tyler Large (Tommy), of Butler, Bob Giacomantonio (Karen), of Portland, Ore., Sam Giacomantonio (Cory), of Pittsburgh, and Mike Simms, of Meridian; and four great-grandchildren, Sam, Leo, Reagan, and Andrew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Simms Jr., who passed away Nov. 28, 1989; four sisters; one brother; and one son-in-law, Dave Giacomantonio.

Simms — There will be no visitation, and funeral services will be private for Dorothy “Tink” Simms, who died Friday, July 9, 2021.

Burial will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery.
