Joseph Beacom

Joseph Paul Beacom, 82, of Butler, formerly Valencia, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021.

Joe was born to Paul and Mary Mahar Beacom on May 27, 1939, in Youngstown, Ohio. He grew up in Canfield and graduated from Canfield High School.

Joe owned and operated service stations in and around the Youngstown and Pittsburgh areas before transitioning to working as a machinist at Taylored Industries in Indianola. A lifelong lover of all things automotive, his biggest pride and joy (outside of family) was his 1969 Chevy Camaro Indy Pace Car. In addition to cars, Joe loved reading mysteries and biographies, eating fettuccine alfredo and spending time with his family.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Goller (Sean) of Portland, Ore.; his son, Joseph Beacom Jr. of Butler; and grandson David Goller. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Pat Hyden of Port Angeles, Wash., John Beacom of Visalia, Calif., David Beacom of Washington, D.C., Donald Beacom of Lake Forest Park, Wash., and Mark Beacom of Youngstown, Ohio. Joe will also be missed by countless friends and family, especially his former wife and best friend, Sandy.

Beacom — A family memorial service will be scheduled at a later date for Joseph Paul Beacom, who died Tuesday, July 6, 2021.
