Kenneth Shaffer

Kenneth Robert Shaffer, 60, of Butler, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021.

Born July 9, 1960, in Cannonsburg, he was the son of Linda (Smith) Washington and the late Murl Shaffer.

Kenneth was a graduate of Ft. Cherry High School.

He was employed as an operating engineer with the Local Union 66.

Kenneth was a proud member of the Local Union 66 (IUOE) operating engineers. He was a former member of Callery Volunteer Fire Department, a talented woodworker, former member of the AMA and a devoted family man.

Surviving is his wife of 24 years, Denise (Cole) Shaffer whom he married April 12, 1997; two children, Alex Shaffer and Sara Shaffer; two step children, Ethan Mincer and Carlee Mincer; a brother, Steve Shaffer and his wife, Jean; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler is in charge of arrangements.
