David Dufford
David C. Dufford, 68, of Butler, passed away peacefully in the home he loved on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
Dave was born April 6, 1953, in Butler, and was the son to Russell and Sarah Dufford.
He married Cindy, the love of his life, in 1974, who survives him. He is also survived by his children, Shiloh (Shane) Harris and Jake (Amber) Dufford; his three beloved grandchildren, Matt, Taryn and Russ; and his much-loved pups, Darby and Pixie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Aline (Norman) Gordon, Beatrice “Teen” Dufford and Beryl (Lloyd) Miller.
Dave was known for being a hilarious human being, and he loved with all he had. He was an avid hunter and loved being out in nature more than anything but being with his family. A prolific reader, he also a wonderful storyteller who spent many hours writing those stories down and even had multiple short stories published in various magazines, including PA Game News, Woods Reader and Fur-Fish-Game.
He will be remembered with love and affection by all who knew him, even if they never met.

Dufford — A celebration of life will be planned in the coming months for David C. Dufford, who died Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
Anyone wanting to honor Dave may make a donation to the Nature Conservancy or literary charity of their choice.
